PHOTO BLOG: Nintendo Amiibo Update: “REunited and it Feels So Good”
Just because I haven’t posted sexy amiibo pics in a while sure doesn’t mean that I’m not still collecting them. And by collecting them, I’m saying that somebody went ahead and created an Amazon.co.jp account to track down the recently released and instantly sold out Resident Evil Requiem figures. These sculpts of the two main protagonists may not unlock much worthwhile in the game (neon repaints of a couple of weapons, I believe), but they sure do look nice on the shelf. And with the yen being as weak as it is right now, talk about a sweet deal!
First up is our old buddy Leon Kennedy. Striking a very cool pose here with ax in hand, this classic hero of the series couldn’t look cooler. Well, unless Nintendo did yours truly a solid and blessed the ol’ collection with Resident Evil 2 and 4 variants of course.
Next we’ve got Grace Ashcroft, a rookie FBI agent and newcomer to the franchise. While Leon is pretty much the man of action in Requiem, Grace’s stages in the game is where the title leans more into full blown horror. This figure isn’t particularly dynamic or anything which feels like a missed opportunity. But y’know what they say about that gift horse!
Combined is where these two releases really shine (to the extent that they really would have made more sense being sold together as a 2 pack). And as an added perk they fit right in with all of those Halloween decorations that you should have already put up around the house like a few weeks ago, go on scoot!
